Immigration and Family Reunification MHRO has taken a leadership role in advocating for Montagnard Family Reunification and providing vital services to the community. From 9/30/2003 through 3/15/2005, the following facts demonstrate how MHRO has reached out to bring Montagnard loved ones together. Total individuals served: 90 I-730, 101 I-485, 3 N-400 Joseph (Drot) Ksor is MHRO's Immigration and Family Reunification Specialist. Drot works at the Montagnard United Christian Church located in Greensboro and on Fridays, in MHRO's Raleigh office. MHRO urges refugee newcomers to complete their I-730's and green card applications. Drot works part-time, and with other MHRO staff, joins our team committment to do all we can to bring Montagnard families together, to advocate with USCIS, and to urge the Vietnamese government to release passports for Montagnard beneficiaries who are eligible to emigrate. MHRO also advocates with the U.S. State Dept., the U.S.Consulate General in Saigon,Vietnam, and the U.S. Congress by providing immigration data and meeting with policy makers to facilitate Montagnard Family Reunification. |
